2. Consult with Your Builder or Home Inspector 

If you’re unsure about whether or not your garage is insulated, the best thing to do is consult with your builder or home inspector. They may have records that indicate what insulation was used in the construction of the garage.

This will provide a good starting point for determining which areas need additional insulation and what type of insulation should be used. 

3. Take Off the Outlet Cover or Drill a Hole in the Drywall to Inspect 

In some cases, it may be necessary to take off an outlet cover or drill a hole in the drywall in order to inspect and determine if there is any insulation present. In most cases, this should not cause any damage and can easily be patched up after the inspection.
